Tikao Bay (Ōkoropeke) is a hidden gem on the western side of Akaroa Harbour. Named after Hone Tikao, our bay has been a special place for Ngāi Tahu, early settlers, and today’s boating families.
The Tikao Bay Boating Club & Ratepayers’ Association looks after the jetty, water supply, and community spirit. Whether you’re launching a dinghy, swimming off the steps, or just enjoying the sheltered waters and stunning views to Akaroa, this is your place.
